I am Iris Gathing, the founder of ITG Communications Group, and the principal image consultant at Style Does Matter, my personal development division. I have met many people in so many different venues that I often am asked “is there anything you don’t do?” I have been described as a ‘jack of all trades”, renaissance woman” and “the queen of change”.
Actually I am merely someone who believes in pursuing the things that I find both interesting and stimulating, and operating in excellence.
As a result, I’ve had a successful career serving as customer service representative, marketing communications consultant, marketing manager, and learning implementation specialist. I began my career at Illinois Bell and retired early from Ameritech Services Inc. to establish my own consulting firm, ITG Enterprises Inc..
During a 30 year career span in the marketing, technology, and training fields, I was fortunate enough to be provided with what I like to refer to as “grooming”. Every time I moved up a rung in the corporate ladder I was further groomed; learning how to dress and communicate effectively, how to set goals, how to eliminate the clutter in my mind and life, and how to determine the communication personality of anyone I encountered. This allowed me to communicate in such a manner so we both (or all) left the meeting table with our needs met and able to focus on a common goal
I promised myself that when I “grew up”, my contribution would be to share the grooming techniques that I learned over the years, and to have fun doing just that!
Come along with me as I share the wealth that can change your life.
To facilitate my knowledge of personal change management, I trained and earned certification as an Image Consultant at the prestigious London Image Institute in Atlanta, GA., became a member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), and later served as president of the Atlanta chapter.
My specialty is empowering people to find their life balance holistically, spiritually and with humility. through personal and professional development.
